Michigan MTA offers leadership opportunities including:

MONTHLY LEADERSHIP GATHERING – ALL MMTA members are welcome to join this informal monthly gathering on ZOOM on the first Sunday of each month at 6:00 PM.  Topics are membership driven.

LEADERSHIP EDUCATION – ALL MMTA members may participate in Leadership Education training taught by experienced members of the National Association of Parliamentarians.  Topics include So, You Have Been Asked to Serve; Making Meetings Meaningful; Officers, Directors, and Chairs;  Bylaws and Administrative Manuals; Parliamentary Procedures including how to manage motions; Legal Documents; and more. 

Training sessions are interactive 75 to 90 minutes monthly on ZOOM except for July, August, and December on the first Sunday of the month at 7:00 PM. 

Additional in-depth training available early Saturday mornings, January through March. Extended training includes Restructure Now: Nonprofit Organizations, Bylaws and Administrative Manuals – creating and/or revisions, The ABC’s of Conference, Convention, and Annual Meeting Management, and more.

BOARD OF DIRECTORS MEETINGS – ALL members are welcome to attend MMTA BOD meetings. It is a great opportunity to learn about the inner workings of the organization.
